Community Chaplains

Community Chaplaincy encompasses a wide range of opportunities for individuals to share the love of Christ in diverse settings. For example, we have a chaplain serving on the slopes of a mountain, providing spiritual support to snowboarders. In addition, our rodeo chaplains travel alongside rodeo communities, offering a church home to individuals who are constantly on the move. Furthermore, industrial and corporate chaplains bring the message of salvation to people in their workplace, recognizing the significance of ministering to individuals where they spend the majority of their time. These are just a few examples of the current community chaplains in our program. We are committed to helping you become the type of chaplain you feel called to be, to serve the specific community you are passionate about.

Industrial/Workplace

In today's modern workplace, the role of chaplains has become increasingly significant as corporations recognize the value of providing spiritual and emotional support to their employees. Chaplains work closely with the employees, playing diverse roles within each corporation. Some companies even allow chaplains to conduct religious services for workers who are required to be on duty during traditional worship hours, such as on Sundays. Additionally, chaplains are being enlisted to help alleviate workplace stress and foster a sense of camaraderie among employees.

Chaplains' responsibilities typically include leading Bible studies, conducting one-on-one prayer meetings, providing counseling for both work-related and personal issues, and facilitating connections between employees and local churches. Their presence not only contributes to the overall well-being of the employees but also serves to create a more supportive and cohesive work environment.

Specialized settings

As a chaplain, you are given the unique opportunity to minister to a diverse range of individuals. Your fellow chaplains are currently providing pastoral care at a variety of locations including airports, racetracks, ski resorts, rescue missions, rodeos, motorcycle rallies, schools, and truck stops. You have the chance to expand this ministry to reach others who may not have been reached before. By establishing a personal connection with those you serve, you gain insight into their lives and are able to share the teachings of Christ.

In your role, you will have the responsibility of leading Bible studies, offering guidance to individuals facing professional and personal challenges, leading church services, and organizing prayer groups.
